WWE RAW Results (5/10) - New General Manager... Quits!

Randy Orton's music hits, and here comes The Viper. Orton asks Edge if he'd like to know why he didn't accept his offer. It's because he knows him. Edge sees him as a threat, and he should. Orton gets interrupted with some crappy entrance music, and here comes Meat Loaf!

He says Orton is the man. He's going crazy. He says he had to get out there and see Orton. He's got a new album coming out, and on this album, he's got a song that needs to be Orton's theme song. It's written by Bon Jovi. He asks Orton if he wants to hear the song. Orton says why not. Meat Loaf says he's gonna sing the whole song, just for Orton. The crappy music hits, and he starts to sing. This is random at its finest. Orton starts to walk away, and Meat Loaf tells him to hold on. He says it picks up, and starts to sing another song. He says it's for Orton and that the album rocks. God, just RKO this guy. He starts singing again. Finally Orton RKO's the guy. YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME!

Here comes Edge, and he's got a mic. Edge says Randy doesn't like celebrities. Edge says he doesn't like them either, how they think they run things. So he called WWE Global Headquarters, and he complained. They tweeted Edge back saying that they agreed with him. So for here on out, Guest Celebrity Hosts will have no authority on Raw. Let's see how long that lasts. Edge says that's not all. He says it needs a permanent GM. Someone with experience, authority, the moxy to pull this job off. And they agreed with him again. You'll never guess who they picked to be the new GM. It's Vickie Guerrero. EXCUSE ME! And here she comes.

She would like to say for the record that despite her personal relationship with Edge in the past, she is here tonight to be a true professional. The crowd will not stop booing. Hilarious. She says Randy attacking celebrities is something that the WWE will not condone. Orton will be reprimanded. Orton tells Vickie to come down to the ring and reprimand him to his face. Edge says that's exactly what Vickie's talking about, that he's a bully. But tonight, Orton's going to find out what it's liked to be bullied. Vickie says that due to his behavior issues, tonight Orton will take on Edge and a partner of his choice in a handicapped match. Edge says Orton will see how he deals with threats, and that's a promise.

-We cut to the back and we see Jericho and Miz talking to each other. Jericho has a match up next with tag team title ramifications.

-We get highlights from the opening segment.

Match 1 : Chris Jericho vs Unified Tag Team Champion David Hart Smith (w/ Natalya)
If Chris Jericho is victorious in this match, he and Miz will earn a Unified Tag Team Championship bout at Over the Limit. Out of all of the Jericho/Big Show/Miz combination's, Jericho and Miz definitely seems like the best, at least on paper. Tyson and Miz both have a match later on. If Miz loses tonight, he'll have to defend his title against a Hart family member next week in Toronto.

Jericho slaps Miz, and David starts throwing the rights. Big boot followed with a delayed vertical suplex by Smith. Leg drop misses and Jericho hits a running kick to the head. Jericho follows up with some forearms to the back of the head. Jericho now just stomping Smith, not allowing him to get back up. He locks in a sleeper hold. Smith with a boot to Jericho in the corner, and follows up with a clothesline. Belly to belly overhead throw by Smith. Jericho with an elbow but runs into a powerslam. Pin but only two. Smith charges Jericho but Jericho hits him with a back elbow. Lionsault misses, and Smith looks for the Sharpshooter. He's got it locked in, but Jericho finds his way to the ropes. Jericho pokes Smith in the eyes and hits a Codebreaker for the win.

Winner : Chris Jericho (*1/2 - Way too short to be anything good, but it was fine for what it was)

-Jericho and Miz will face The Hart Dynasty at Over the Limit for the Unified Tag Team Championships.

-We're in the back now and Edge is talking to Batista.

-Tonight, Cena will reveal the stipulation for his match against Batista at Over the Limit.

-Up next, Flava Flav. Yay.

-This week on Smackdown, Punk and Mysterio will face off one on one.

-And here comes R-Truth. Ya'll know what time it is. And he's here with Flava Flav. Truth and Flav do the entrance song together. YEA BOY. Truth gives Flav an introduction. Flav tells everyone to scream at the top of their lungs "FLAVA FLAV". He pimps his new show, and I can't understand what he's saying now. Flav tells them to make some noise for Truth, and asks the crowd if they're ready to get the show rockin'.

Match 2 : R-Truth vs William Regal
Regal doesn't even get an entrance, so you already know who's winning.

Regal starts things out with some forearms in the corner. Truth floats over Regal in the corner, splits and then hits the spin kick. And here come the Colon's, and they're taking out Truth.

Winner : R-Truth via disqualification (DUD - More of an angle than a match, putting over Dibiase's gimmick while cementing the Colon's as a unit)

Backstabber to Truth by Carlito. Flav is on commentary, and he says they just killed Truth. The Colon's walk back up the ramp and there's Ted Dibiase. Dibiase hands them an envelope (presumably filled with money) as the Colon's walk away.

-Cole and Lawler hype the handicapped match for later tonight.

-Back from commercial and we get a video package highlighting Eve. We then get highlights of earlier tonight where Maryse was getting her own training in jui-jitsu. The trainer says she isn't trying hard enough. Maryse slaps him in the face and then kicks him in the leg.

-We're in the back with Orton. Josh Matthews asks him if he's concerned about the match later tonight. Orton says there's not much he can do about it, so no. He says he'd like Vickie to come down to ringside during his match so he can make sure tonight is a night that she will never forget.

-Tomorrow on NXT someone will be eliminated.

-Buzz Aldrin says he's taking Raw to the moon next week. Mark Henry hits him in the back with a chair. One small step for Raw, and one giant leap for the WWE Universe. Next week Aldrin is the guest host.

-Gail Kim and Alicia Fox are at ringside. Zack Ryder thanks them for being out there tonight. He says Alicia looks especially beautiful tonight. He says the last great moment this arena will hold is Zack Ryder's first win on Raw.

Match 3 : Zack Ryder vs Evan Bourne
Ryder with a knee to Bourne and starts hitting him with clubbing blows to the back of the neck. Running hurricanran by Bourne, and he hits him with a back elbow, enzuigiri combination in the corner. Bourne flips into the ring over Ryder but gets caught with the Rough Rider. Cover but only two. Neckbreaker by Ryder, but again Bourne kicks out of the pin. Bourne hits Ryder with a kick. He avoids Ryder in the corner and hits a Bronco Buster type of move in the corner. Bourne goes to the top. Alicia tries to cut him off but Kim takes her off. AIR BOURNE!!! Woo Woo Woo. It's over.

Winner : Evan Bourne (*1/2 - Again, too short to be anything good. Still, a Bourne win is better than nothing)

Bourne and Kim walk off together.

-We get highlights of Cena beating Barrett last week, followed by the post match attack by Sheamus. When we come back, Cena will reveal the stipulation. If it's an Ironman match I'll be pissed.

-Did You Know WWE has been making wishes come true for kids for over 25 years. Probably not

-The Champ is Hurr!!! Here comes Cena. Cena says that it's truly a very special occasion. He wants to take this moment to thank Sheamus. Because of his outburst, he gave Cena a week to think about the stipulation. He thought maybe Batista was right. He did defeat Batista but the win was controversial. He thought the victory was creative, but Batista and some critics thought it was a way for Cena to take the easy way out. He's been called many things in his life, but he's not a coward. Tonight, he'll prove it. He can choose any match he wants with Batista. He can force him to wear a blindfold, be handcuffed, or hop on one leg. But this match, there will be no easy way out. I smell I Quit. He says the match will be brutal. It will be the last time Cena faces Batista for the title. If Batista wins, he's officially going on record saying he forfeits his rematch clause. There's only one match the two of them can have. He will face Dave Batista in an I Quit match. If Batista wants to see him go, all he has to do is make him say two words. He owes all of this to Sheamus. He would've rushed his decision. He thanks Sheamus, and tells the human jar of mayonnaise to come out so he can thank him in person. Cena gets ready to go to the back, but here comes Sheamus.

Sheamus says Cena didn't think it through. If he goes to the ring, he'll leave Cena in no condition to defeat Batista. Everyone knows it, including Cena. He asks him if he really wants him to come down there. Cena takes off his shirt and says he'll take his chances. Sheamus says he's a foolish man, because that decision cost him the WWE Title. And Sheamus starts to walk down to the ring.

Batista comes at Cena from behind. Cena takes him out, then Sheamus, but turns into a spear from The Animal. Sheamus hits him with the backbreaker. Batista takes him to the outside and rams him spine first into the ringpost. Batista throws Cena back into the ring, allowing Sheamus to hit the boot.

Batista goes for the Batista Bomb, but here's Mark Henry. He takes Batista and Sheamus out. Splash in the corner to Batista, and he boots him out of the ring. Henry then goes to check up on Cena as Batista walks away.

-We're in the back with Vickie and Edge. Edge says he found a partner. He wants to make sure they're perfectly clear as the last time they were on Raw, Edge said some awful things toward her. He wanted the people to feel sympathetic for her, but it didn't work. Vickie says they can still be friends. Edge says he wants Vickie to be at ringside tonight. Vickie says no way and that Randy creeps her out. Vickie tells him to guarantee her that nothing will happen. Edge says if Orton raises a finger towards her, she can fire her. She needs to be at ringside so that she will show that she won't be intimidated and so that she can see the look on his face after he beats him. Vickie says she'll be there.

-And we're back, and Tyson Kidd is in the ring.

Match 4 : Unified Tag Team Champion Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya) vs United States Champion The Miz
If Kidd wins, Miz will have to defend his title next week against a member of The Hart Dynasty.

Miz ducks behind Kidd and slams him to the mat. Big kick to the gut follows. He then boots Kidd out of the ring. Kidd shoulder blocks Miz and flies into the ring with a roll up for the win?

Winner : Tyson Kidd (1/2* - Way too short and did nothing for Miz)

Miz asks Kid if he thinks he actually won something. He reminds Kidd that the stipulation is that he decides who he faces next week. He's not going to face Tyson nor David. As much as Natalya wants to get in the ring with Miz and wrestle around, keep dreaming. Next week, live on Raw, commercial free, Miz will defend his title against... Bret "The Hitman" Hart!

-Josh says that later tonight, Batista will face Mark Henry. Batista asks him if he heard about the I Quit match. Batista said he's not going to make Cena say I Quit, he's going to make him scream it. If you don't believe him, watch what he does to Mark Henry.

-All of the NXT rookies are in the ring, and following is an 8 on 4 match.

Match 5 : The NXT Rookies vs John Morrison, Yoshi Tatsu, Goldust and Santino Marella
My god, is this what Morrison's been subjected to. No offense to any of those guys, but I thought Morrison was being slated as a future main event player. Apparently that'll be happening later rather than sooner. I hope not though.

Barrett and Goldust start off. Barrett hits him with some rights in the corner. Goldust with an uppercut and a reverse atomic drop. Short arm clothesline and here comes Tatsu. Tatus dives off the middle rope, axe handling the arm. Gabriel getst the tag but runs into an arm drag. He flips over a hip toss. Tatsu jumps over a kick. Gabriel flips over a back drop attempt and hits a spin kick. Here comes Otunga and he hits Tatsu with some clubbing blows. Tatsu flips out of a back suplex, but gets killed with a shoulder block. Pin but only two. Clothesline but again only two on the pin. He now locks in a sleeper. Tatsu fights out and hits a discuss elbow. Slater and Morrison get the tags. Dropsault and a clothesline follows. Flying leg kick by Morrison. Tarver comes in but gets chucked out. Slater with a slingshot sunset flip, but Morrison hits the knee. Starship Pain coming up but Slater gets the knees up. Here comes Bryan but he gets backdropped. Here comes Santino but he gets rolled up and BRYAN WINS!!!!

Winners : The NXT Rookies (*3/4 - Longest match of the night, and it wasn't that bad. And Bryan finally wins won, so it wasn't that bad)

-Lawler hypes up the handicapped match later tonight as we go to commercial.

-Smackdown rebound brings us back from commercial, highlighting the Drew McIntyre firing.

-Backstage see the Bella's with Flava Flav. He pimps his show, saying it's an updated version of the Twilight Zone. Marella and Kozlov are seen arguing. Flav tells them to speak English and asks them what's going on with them. Marella says he just wants to be a tag team. Kozlov says he always loses. Flav tells them they can work it out, and here's Regal. Regal tells him not to pay attention to him. Regal calls him ridiclous and says he has no talent. Kozlov tells Regal to bust a move. Regal starts to rap, and this is surprisingly kind of funny. Flav laughs and says that's the most ridiculous thing he's heard in his life. YEA BOIII!!!

-Cole lets out a vintage before they hype the Over the Limit card.

CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio - If Punk wins, Mysterio joins the SES. If Mysterio wins, Punk shaves his head.
John Cena(C) vs Batista - I Quit match - WWE Championship

Batista gets in the ring and sits down on a chair as we got to commercial.

Match 6 : Batista vs Mark Henry

And here comes Henry and Batista has yet to get up out of the chair. Vickie Guerrero has banned Cena and Sheamus from ringside. Henry is a little confused as to why Batista's still sitting down.

Batista springs up and attacks Henry as he gets into the ring. He grabs the chair and hits him in the back with it before the match even starts. He hits him with repeated shots to the shoulder. He then puts Henry in some submission (kind of like the Motor City Stretch) and starts yelling at Henry. Batista refuses to let it go and the refs can't make him stop. Batista finally lets go. Batista stands over Henry for a while before leaving the ring. He tells the medic that Henry will be fine.

-Lawler and Cole remind us that that would be legal during an I Quit match. Batista is receiving a lot of heat from that segment. Cole and Lawler plug Meat Loaf's new album "Like a Rose". We then get a recap of Randy RKO'ing Meat Loaf.

-And here comes Orton as we get ready for the main event.

Randy Orton vs. Edge and Ted DiBiase

Back from the break and out comes Randy Orton for tonight's main event. Out next is Edge with Vickie Guerrero at his side. Edge's music stops and his tag team partner is... Ted DiBiase. Ted comes to the ring with the Million Dollar Title. Ted and Orton start the match out. Orton applies a headlock and knocks Ted down with a shoulder. Ted kicks Orton in the head and Edge tags himself in. Edge comes from behind and lays out Orton. Edge stomps away now on Orton as the crowd boo's.

Edge chokes Orton with the ropes before tagging in Ted. Ted kicks Orton down in the corner now and chokes him with his boot as Vickie looks on from ringside. Ted hits a right hand and tags in Edge for some double teaming. Edge tries to suplex Orton but Orton stops it. Edge hits a boot on Orton for a 2 count. Edge tags back in DiBiase now. Orton fights back on Ted with uppercuts. Ted responds with a big clothesline and a 2 count. Ted with a chinlock now on Orton. Orton fights out of it and clotheslines Ted twice. Edge comes in but Orton knocks him to the floor. Orton hits the powerslam on Ted. Edge gets on the apron but Orton knocks him back into the announcers table. Orton turns around to a shot from Ted. Orton counters it for a backbreaker. Orton hits the mat and starts stalking Ted. Ted counters the RKO but Orton dumps Ted over the ropes and to the floor. R-Truth comes down the ramp and Ted runs in the ring. Orton catches Ted with the RKO for the pinfall and the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

- After the match, R-Truth heads back up the ramp after assisting Orton with his win. Orton looks over at ringside where Vickie Guerrero is sitting. Vickie gets scared. Orton hits the mat and stares at Vickie through the ropes. Orton comes out to the floor, still staring. Vickie takes a mic and tells Orton not to do anything. She's screaming at Edge to get up now. Vickie warns Orton. She can't finish h er sentence and starts crying. Vickie yells that she resigns and runs away. Orton hits the RKO on Edge. Vickie runs up the ramp as Orton goes back in the ring and his music plays. RAW goes off the air with Edge laid out on the floor and Orton looking down at him from the ring.
